River City Science Academy’s Mandarin Campus – KLC Chess Club

In our weekly chess classes, children develop their skills by learning openings, tactics, and pattern recognition while enjoying engaging chess puzzles. We also introduce them to Bughouse Chess, a team-based variation that sharpens their strategic thinking and collaboration. Additionally, we prepare students to compete in local and city chess tournaments.

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, and on early release days from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, for students in second grade and above.

We are committed to shaping our children’s future through the game of chess. It is an honor to teach young players, and we are proud that some of our students have achieved titles as city, Florida, and National Champions.
